ERODING MOUNTAINS

I called this series Eroding Mountains because I was trying to show a process of erosion representing millions of years. One “mountain range” was constructed with a very strong plaster. A second mountain range was made of a weak plaster and built directly over the first set of mountains. When the arrangement was placed in the water the mountains made of weak plaster eroded much faster gradually revealing the originally constructed mountain range underneath. The images show the results in chronological order.
